Flamengo U-18s crush São Francisco and take the lead in Group E
Rubro-negros shone once again and got three more points with a rain of goals in Pernambuco
By Mariana Sa - inReplay? No. This Thursday (18), Flamengo faced São Francisco-BA at Arena de Pernambuco and won 11-0, repeating the result of the last round. In a duel valid for the Brazilian Under-18 Women's Football Championship, Mais Querido dominated from start to finish and guaranteed the isolated leadership of Group E. The goals were scored by Thalita (three times), Maria Peck (twice), Tuane, Juliana, Larissa, Vitória, Samara and Marcely (own goal).
With the result, Fla reaches seven points in three games, adding two wins and a draw. In the next round, the red-blacks will face São Francisco again, now in the second leg, on Saturday (20), at 10 am, at Barbosão Stadium, in Chã Grande (PE).
The game
The match started evenly at the Arena de Pernambuco, but Flamengo had the better attack. In the 11th minute, Juliana advanced well and passed to Tuane, who was out of the goal. The forward made no mistake, firing a shot straight into the back of the net to open the scoring. Shortly after, in the 16th minute, it was top scorer Maria Peck's turn to score. After a mistake by the opposing player, the number 10 took advantage, beat the goalkeeper, and scored Flamengo's second goal of the match.
Dominating the match, it didn't take long for the third goal to arrive. Alert on the right, Tuane stole the ball and crossed to Juliana. However, Marcely deflected it and ended up scoring an own goal. Then, in the 36th minute, Thalita managed to win possession from a poor opponent's clearance, rose well, and found Juliana alone in the box. She received the ball and unleashed a stunning first-time shot to extend the lead.
Three minutes later, Maria Peck sent a stylish pass to Thalita, who rose well, burst into the box, and took advantage of the goalkeeper's exit to score the fifth. Captain Larissa added hers shortly after, receiving the ball, adjusting it, and unleashing a rocket from outside the box to score a stunning goal.
The second half began with the same rhythm as the first. In the 2nd minute, Maria Peck launched a ball and Thalia received it. She coolly advanced, evaded her marker, and fired it into the back of the São Francisco net. In a play in the box, Thalita was fouled, and the referee awarded a penalty. She herself took the shot, scoring her hat trick in the match.
In the 25th minute, just before the final halftime break, Luisa rose well with the ball and found Vitória, who finished well for Flamengo's ninth goal of the match. Scoring her first goal in the Brasileirão and the tenth of the match, Samara surged down the right and crossed. The ball flew past everyone and into the back of the net. Completing the scoring, Maria Peck made a powerful run to score Flamengo's eleventh goal.
