On Saturday morning (6), Flamengo U-18 hosted the Duque de Caxias main team in a friendly match at Gávea. Even with a goal from Ana Clara in the 18th minute of the first half, the red-blacks ended up drawing 1-1 in the first game on an official field in the team's history. The match served as preparation for the debut in the Brazilian Women's Football Championship in the category, which starts on the 14th.

The opening half saw mixed moments. Early on, Duque managed to apply pressure and performed better, attacking more. However, Marcos Gaspar's team began to adjust to the game and began creating more chances. In the 18th minute, Kemelly made a good play on the right with Ana Clara, who crossed the ball from the edge of the box and scored a stunning goal. After that, both teams had chances, but the red-and-black defense worked, as did the opponent's.

In the second half, the balance remained unchanged. Wanting a draw, Duque de Caxias threatened goalkeeper Marcela, but Flamengo managed to hold off the opposing attacks. Taking the lead through Thalita and Maria Peck, Flamengo had good opportunities but remained on the defensive. However, in the 34th minute, the opponents equalized with a play in the box, leaving the score at 1-1.

In the final stretch of preparation for their debut in the Brazilian U-18 Women's Football Championship, Flamengo will have their last week of training, as they travel to Pernambuco, the venue for the first stage. The first match is scheduled for Sunday, July 14th, against Vitória at Ademir Cunha Stadium in Paulista, Pernambuco, at 15:30 pm.

Lineup: Coach: Marcos Gaspar.
