In the seventh round of the Brasileirão Feminino, Flamengo beat Santos 2-0 on Thursday afternoon (13), at the Luso-Brasileiro Stadium, in Ilha do Governador-RJ. The goals of Mais Querido were scored by Dani Ortolan and Ana Carla. With the result, Meninas da Gávea have nine points and occupy ninth place in the championship.

The game
The first half started evenly, with both teams fighting for possession. In the seventh minute, Flávia arrived on the left and passed to Kaylane at the edge of the box, who fired a low shot. The ball went just wide of the post.

In the 25th minute, Mengão opened the scoring! Sorriso took a corner kick, the goalkeeper rebounded, and the ball fell to Dani Ortolan, who tapped it into the back of the net: 1-0. The red-and-black team continued to attack. In the 26th minute, Raquel found Flávia, who shot into the corner, and the ball went just wide of the post. The Meninas da Gávea went into halftime ahead.

In the second half, Santos' Mais Querido continued to attack, exchanging passes in Santos' midfield. In the ninth minute, the Meninas da Gávea extended their lead. In a fine move down the right, Rafa Barros sent a low cross into the box, and Ana Carla, the red-and-black captain, got the ball first time and chipped it over the Santos goalkeeper to score a stunning goal: 2-0.

Flamengo continued to attack, and in the 39th minute, Kaylane fired a long-range shot that nearly caught the goalkeeper off guard. With an excellent performance both offensively and defensively, Mengão outplayed the team throughout the match and emerged with a crucial victory, adding three more points to the league standings.

The Most Beloved returns to the field next Monday (17) to face Real Brasília, at 15 pm, at the Defelê-DF Stadium, for the eighth round of the Brazilian Women's Championship.
