In the third round of the Women's Guanabara Cup, Flamengo beat Cabofriense 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon (13), at CEFAN. The goals for the Meninas da Gávea were scored by Pimenta and Sorriso (from a free kick). With the result, Mengão added nine points in three games and remains with a 100% record.

The game
Flamengo started the match imposing its rhythm, moving the ball around in attack. Cabofriense's team played a more defensive formation, waiting for Flamengo to open the scoring. In the 13th minute, Flamengo opened the scoring! Darlene provided a beautiful pass to Pimenta, who caught it first time inside the six-yard box to score Flamengo's first goal: 1-0.

The Meninas da Gávea continued to dominate possession and dominate the attacking half. In the 25th minute, the Mais Querido extended their lead! Sorriso took a free kick into the box, the ball went past everyone and into the net: 2-0. In the final minute of the first half, the red-and-black team almost scored a third goal from Sorriso's free kick just outside the box. The ball sailed just wide of the crossbar.

Early in the second half, Jayanne made a good run through the middle, cleared the defense, and struck a powerful left-footed shot. The Cabofriense goalkeeper palmed it away for a corner. The opposing team was tightly blocking the defense, making it very difficult for Flamengo to penetrate.

With a clear superiority, Mais Querido left the field with another victory and continues with a 100% success rate in the Guanabara Cup.

Next appointment
Mais Querido returns to the field next Saturday (16) to face Serra Macaense, at 15 pm, at CEFAN, in a game valid for the fourth round of the Taça Guanabara Feminina.
