Current champion of the Brazil Ladies Cup, Flamengo debuted in the 2023 edition by beating Ferroviária 3-1 on Monday afternoon (4), at the Bruno José Daniel stadium, in Santo André-SP. Crivelari, Isadora and Darlene scored the red-black goals in the match. With the victory, Mengão leads Group B, which has Ferroviária itself, Santos and Paraguay.

The game
The Gávea Girls started the match with the majority of possession and looking to attack. And it didn't take long for them to open the scoring! Darlene received the ball on the left side of the box and crossed low for Crivelari to deflect into the net and score the red-and-black team's first goal of the competition: 1-0.

In the 26th minute, Ferroviária equalized with a corner kick from Suzane Pires, who sent the ball straight in. An Olympic goal in Santo André, 1-1. After the equalizer, the game became even more intense, with intense competition for possession.

In the final minutes of the first half, Thaisa took a shot from outside the box, but the ball hit the crossbar. Flamengo almost scored its second goal! The teams went into halftime with the score tied.
