TWO-TIME CHAMPION! Flamengo defeated Fluminense 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon (23), in Moça Bonita, and won the second Rio Women's Cup title. Cristiane and Monalisa scored the goals for Mengão. The match marked the debut of coach Rosana Augusto.
The game
The Gávea Girls started the match looking to attack. Just three minutes in, Cristiane received the ball from Glaucia, shot, and the goalkeeper made a great save. In the 17th minute, Mengão opened the scoring! Agustina made a good play and passed to Fernanda, who crossed perfectly for Cristiane to slam home: 1-0.
