In the last round of the Brasileirão Feminino, Flamengo beat Internacional 2-1 on Monday afternoon (12), in Gávea. Leidiane and Monalisa scored the red-black goals. With the result, the Meninas da Gávea finished in fifth place with 31 points and will face Santos in the quarterfinals of the national competition.  

The game
The match started off fiercely contested, especially in midfield. In the 19th minute, the Meninas da Gávea opened the scoring in Gávea. Sole Jaimes passed to Duda on the right, who took the ball to the baseline and delivered a perfect low cross for Leidiane to tap in: 1-0.

After the goal, Internacional continued to press forward, seeking to extend their lead. In the 24th minute, Sole made a run down the right and passed to Duda, whose shot was saved by the Colorado goalkeeper. Internacional went into halftime with the lead.

The Gávea Girls returned for the second half with three substitutions. Agustina, Kaylaine Jr., and Sole Jaimes left, making way for Núbia, Laysa, and Gica, respectively.

But this time, Internacional scored with Fabiola Sandoval, who hit a beautiful shot that left Bárbara with no chance: 1-1. The Mais Querido didn't slow down and scored the second goal in the 30th minute. Leidiane took a free kick at the edge of the box, the ball hit the crossbar and Monalisa completed with a header: 2-1.

In the final minutes, the Meninas da Gávea valued possession of the ball in the attacking half and secured the victory at home. Now, Rubro-Negro will face Santos in the quarterfinals of the Brasileirão Feminino.
