In the seventh round of the Brasileirão Feminino, Flamengo beat Juventude 2-0 on Saturday night (26), at the Luso-Brasileiro stadium. Monalisa and Glaucia scored for the Meninas da Gávea, who are now in seventh place with 10 points in the competition. In the next round, Mengão faces Cruzeiro away from home.

The game
The Meninas da Gávea started the match by taking the initiative and going on the attack. Just three minutes in, Glaucia took a free kick from the left side of the box, the ball went through the wall, and the goalkeeper tipped it over for a corner.

Before ten minutes had passed, Mengão opened the scoring. Monalisa, from the right, took a shot; the ball deflected off Juventude's defense and deceived the goalkeeper: 1-0. After the goal, the red-and-blacks continued to attack, creating chances to extend their lead. On the other hand, the Rio Grande do Sul team struggled to get the ball out of play and tried to break through the midfield using long balls.

With extensive possession, Flamengo continued to exchange passes in the attacking sector and circled Juventude's box, but lacked the final pass to finish on goal. The first half ended with the Meninas da Gávea in the lead.

After the break, Juventude began to attack more, trying to equalize in the opening minutes. In the 14th minute, Glaucia received a through ball, drove it into the box, and shot, but the goalkeeper saved it. Mariana, who had just come on, made a good run down the left, cut inside, and shot. The goalkeeper made the save in the center of the goal.

With Juventude's change of approach, the game opened up, with both teams looking to attack. Flamengo improved slightly with Mariana's introduction, but the Gaucho team was the one posing the most threat.

At a crucial moment in the match, Mengão extended their lead with a stunning goal! Juventude's defense misplayed the ball, and it fell to Glaucia, who hit a beautiful shot into the top right corner of the goal to score the second goal for the red-and-blacks: 2-0.

In the final minutes, the Meninas da Gávea managed the result and kept the ball in play until the final whistle to leave the field with their third victory in the Brasileirão Feminino.
