This Friday (8), Flamengo achieved a great victory against Botafogo-PB, 2-1, at Canindé. The goals of the match were scored by Pimenta and Mariana. With six points won, Rubro-Negro depends on itself to advance to the semifinal. 

The game

Flamengo, without sacrificing style, began creating chances and opened the scoring in the 19th minute. After a cross into the box, Mariana assisted with a bicycle kick, and Pimenta tapped it into the back of the net. In the 30th minute, Flamengo equalized with a penalty kick from Aissa. In the final play of the first half, Ana Laura received a pass from Sofia, but was saved by the goalkeeper, and the score remained tied at 1-1.

After the break, in the seventh minute, Gica lifted the ball, but Pimenta couldn't finish. In the 12th minute, Ana Donato took a corner, and Mariana headed it into the top corner: 2-1. The red-and-black pressure continued, and other opportunities arose, but it ended like this. An excellent victory for the Meninas da Gávea.

The team's next match will be on Monday (11), against Santos, at 20 pm, also at Canindé.
