With the Brazilian Championship on hold due to the National Team's schedule, Mais Querido played a training match against Botafogo, on Saturday morning (9), at the José Bastos Padilha Stadium, in Gávea. Superior during the ninety minutes, Mengão won 1-0, with a goal from Kaylane.

The game
At home, the Meninas da Gávea seized the initiative from the start. Playing in the opponent's half, Luis Andrade's team created a few threats and scored a goal a minute before the technical timeout. In a well-constructed play down the right flank, Monalisa crossed, Kaylane tried twice, and opened the scoring. The match continued at a relaxed pace until halftime, completely under control.

In the second half, the coach made changes to the starting lineup, but the scenario remained the same. In the 19th minute, Stella took a shot from outside the box, and the Botafogo goalkeeper made a great save. Then, after a triangulation, Maria Alves arrived on the wing, crossed, and Pimenta almost scored. In the 42nd minute, the forward had another opportunity, but the ball went just wide of the post. In the final play, Monalisa took a corner kick, and Renata headed it firmly, narrowly missing out on extending the lead. After that, there was no time for anything else.
