TWO-TIME CHAMPION! Flamengo defeated Fluminense 1-0 on Monday night (25), at Luso-Brasileiro, and became eight-time champions of the Carioca Feminino. Jucinara, with a beautiful shot from outside the area, scored the goal that gave the title to the Meninas da Gávea. It is worth remembering that the left-back also found the net in the first leg, in the 1-1 draw.
The game
Flamengo started the match by taking the initiative to attack, relying on passing. When they lost possession, the Meninas da Gávea would press up and pressure Fluminense in their own half.
In the 30th minute, Crivelari got a rebound and took a shot from outside the box, but the ball went over the goal. Nine minutes later, Crivelari received a good pass, entered the box, and shot a cross. The goalkeeper managed to slightly deflect the ball for a corner. At the end of the first half, Crivelari again took a first-time shot, the goalkeeper saved, and the rebound, Cristiane, sent over the goal.
In stoppage time, Gisseli found herself one-on-one with the goalkeeper and hit the crossbar. Another good chance wasted by the red-and-black attack. The teams went into halftime with the score unchanged.
In the second half, Fluminense began to attack more and pose more of a threat to the Flamengo goal. Flamengo, on the other hand, struggled to pass from defense to attack. In the 21st minute, Crivelari arrived well from the left side of the box and shot at goal. The Tricolor defense cleared the ball almost on the line.
Then, in the 25th minute, Mengão opened the scoring in the Luso-Brasileiro! Jucinara took a shot from outside the box, and the ball went into the top corner to score a stunning goal: 1-0. After the goal, the red-and-black team continued to attack. In the 37th minute, Laysa made a good play in the box and shot, but the Tricolor goalkeeper managed to palm the ball away for a corner.
In the final minutes, the red-black team managed to hold on to the result and won their eighth Campeonato Carioca Feminino title.
