SIX-TIME CHAMPION! On Friday afternoon (26), Flamengo drew 1-1 with Fluminense at Gávea, but in the penalty shootout, the red-black team prevailed and won the Campeonato Carioca Feminino title undefeated. Darlene scored the red-black goal in normal time. Stella, Jayanne and Andressa converted the penalties.

The game
The Meninas da Gávea started the match by putting pressure on the Tricolor team. Four minutes in, Fla created their first good opportunity. Sorriso took a corner kick into the box, and Cida headed firmly, but Nicole made a good save. The red-and-black team pressed the ball under pressure, making it difficult for Fluminense to get the ball out.

Set pieces were a powerful weapon for Fluminense. In the 18th minute, after another corner kick, Stella rose and headed dangerously. In the 34th minute, Mengão opened the scoring with a stunning goal! Darlene beat two defenders in the middle and unleashed a rocket from the edge of the box, hitting a beautiful shot into the top right corner of the Tricolor goalkeeper's net: 1-0. In first-half stoppage time, Luany scored for Fluminense, tying the match at 1-1.

Early in the second half, Sorriso took a corner kick into the box, and Stella caught it first time. The ball grazed the post. The Laranjeiras team returned more offensively and attacked more frequently. In the final period, Fluminense was left with a player short with the sending off of Jéssica Bahia.

With the numerical advantage, Flamengo began to keep the ball in their attacking half, seeking the winning goal. In the 38th minute, Dani Ortolan received the ball legally inside the box, but shot over the bar. In the 47th minute, Kaká made a great save to prevent a goal for the Tricolor. The Meninas da Gávea pressed until the last minute, but the decision went to penalties.

In the penalty shootout, Mengão prevailed, winning 3-0 and winning their sixth Carioca Women's Championship title. Stella, Jayanne, and Andressa converted the penalties for the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved).
