Flamengo's start to the Brazilian Under-18 Championship couldn't have been better. On Tuesday morning (6), the Meninas da Gávea played well and won the classic against Fluminense 3-0 at CT do Sorocaba. With the result, Mais Querido took the lead in the group alongside Minas Brasília. The goals were scored by Naely and Duda Rodrigues (2).
The game
The pressure from the start paid off immediately. Five minutes in, Diovanna passed to Naely, who advanced and struck powerfully to open the scoring. Leading, the Red-Blacks created good chances with Pimenta after two good assists from Ju Lopes, but were unable to extend their lead. In the final stretch of the first half, Letícia made a good play and hit the crossbar. Before halftime, the number 10 attempted another long-range shot, but to no avail.
Upon return, the strategy remained the same. With complete control of the action and without any scares thanks to the security of Kaylane and Lorena in defense, the team launched into the attack. Given this situation, coach Marcos Gaspar brought on Duda Rodrigues and Kaylane Souza, and the second goal came. In the 17th minute, after a great exchange of passes, Maria Peck accelerated down the left flank and passed to Duda, who slammed the ball into the net for a stunning goal. There was enough time for the winger to score another in the 35th, on a rebound from the goalkeeper, and seal the victory: 3-0.
