The game

Early in the match, goalkeeper Vivi Holzel made a great save on a shot from Amanda Gutierres. After that, the Red-Blacks took control and created the best opportunities through Fernanda. The number 32 just missed opening the scoring. 

In the 34th minute, Glaucia delivered a beautiful pass, Laysa dribbled past Fe Palermo and shot wide. On the next play, Glaucia crossed, Cristiane set it up, and Djeni slotted it into the corner: 1-0. In the last minute, Laysa was brought down at the edge of the box, and Jucinara delivered the perfect free kick. A stunning goal from the left back, and it was 2-0 before halftime.

In the second half, Palmeiras leveled the scores and tied the match 2-2, with two goals from Tainá Maranhão in virtually the same fashion. In the 24th minute, Palmeiras had a good opportunity with an aerial play from defender Flávia Mota. A minute later, Glaucia took a long-range shot, but Tapia saved. In the 32nd minute, Glaucia sent a through ball to Fernanda. The number 32 crossed, Laysa deflected it, and Djeni slotted a free kick into the back of the net: 3-2 and the captain's second of the game. In the 41st minute, Leidiane tried her luck from outside the box, but the ball went just wide. It was the final act of the match, which ended in a victory for the Meninas da Gávea.
