This Sunday afternoon (09), Flamengo defeated Real Brasília 3-1 at Bezerrão Stadium, with goals from Jucinara, Cristiane, and Laysa. The match, part of the Women's Super Cup, secured Mengão's advancement to the semifinals of the competition, which will be played away against São Paulo, on a date yet to be determined.

The game

The match began with Flamengo dominating possession and attacking volume. Flamengo created opportunities in the opening minutes, with Laysa finding herself one-on-one with the opposing goalkeeper in the 5th minute. Real Brasília, meanwhile, attempted attacks down the wings but were met by the Mais Querido's tight defense. With their high defense, Flamengo forced mistakes from their opponents and managed to convert them into two goals to close the first half 2-0. Jucinara, with a free kick, and Cristiane scored.

In the second half, the pace slowed. Real Brasília managed to work possession and finish a few shots—safely neutralized by goalkeeper Isa Cruz, making her professional debut in national competitions. In the 32nd minute, the referee awarded a penalty to the opposition, and Luciene Baião scored the equalizer: 2-1. In the closing stages, Mengão took advantage of their numerical superiority to regain possession, and from a corner kick, Laysa fired a powerful shot into the corner to score the third, sealing the victory and qualification.
