In the third round of the Copa Rio Feminina, Flamengo won the classic against Vasco 2-0 on Saturday morning (24), in São Januário. Crivelari and Thaisa scored for Mengão, who achieved their second victory in the competition.

The game
The derby started with a well-thought-out approach, with both teams trying to maintain possession. Flamengo's first good opportunity came in the eighth minute. Crivelari received the ball at the edge of the box and shot toward goal. The goalkeeper made the save. In the 16th minute, Jucinara took a dangerous free kick from the right, but the goalkeeper palmed it away.

Little by little, the Meninas da Gávea began to loosen up and create more opportunities. Darlene took a shot from the edge of the box; the ball went softly and hit the post. Soon after, in the 33rd minute, Mengão opened the scoring at São Januário. Jucinara received the ball on the left and crossed perfectly for Crivelari to head past the goalkeeper: 1-0. With the goal, Mengão went into halftime with the lead.

In the fifth minute of the second half, Flamengo extended their lead. Thaisa grabbed the rebound, controlled it with style, and unleashed a shot from outside the box. The ball went into the corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance: 2-0.

With a two-point lead, the red-and-black team began to pace the game more, valuing possession. The red-and-black defense played very solidly, without any scares. In the final minutes, the Meninas da Gávea continued to control the result and left the field with their second victory of the competition. Now, Mengão has six points in the standings and is in second place at the end of the first round. 

Next appointment
The Girls from Gávea return to the field next Saturday (2) to face Botafogo, at 10 am, at the Ronaldo Nazário de Lima stadium, for the fourth round of the Copa Rio Feminina.
