On Monday morning (13), the Meninas da Gávea beat Vasco 3-1 at home and reached their fourth victory in the competition. The red-black goals were scored by Mariana, Vitória Almeida and Leidiane. 

 The game

The opening minutes were dominated by Flamengo, with strong marking and good chances created. In the 10th minute, Glaucia took a perfect free kick, and Mariana rose above everyone: 1-0. Flamengo's kick-off was a misplay, and Lourdes equalized for Vasco. In the 14th minute, Djeni delivered a good pass, and Vitória Almeida hit the post. 

As time went on, the intensity level dropped significantly, and after the technical timeout, the only dangerous play came in the 43rd minute. Djeni dispossessed the team, shot from distance, and the ball went very close. The first half ended in a 1-1 draw.

After halftime, in the 13th minute, Glaucia took a corner kick and Mariana headed it in again, but this time, the goalkeeper worked a miracle. In the 17th minute, the referee awarded a penalty to the opposing team; Juh Morais took the shot, and Vivi Holzel saved. The moment gave Mengão a boost, and in the 21st minute, Jucinara crossed and Vitória Almeida scored a stunning backheel goal: 2-1. With the advantage on the scoreboard, Rubro-Negro controlled the result and sealed the victory in the 48th minute, with Leidiane's goal: 3-1.

Mengão returns to the field on Saturday (18), to face Real Heips, with no set time yet, also in Gávea.
