Flamengo won again in the Brazilian Women's Championship. Playing at Luso Brasileiro, on Saturday afternoon (25), the Mais Querido beat Vitória 3-1 - with a lightning goal - and reached 15 points in the competition. Laysa, twice, and Fabi Simões scored the goals. 

The game

Right from the first play of the match, in the opening minute, Mariana made a great pass to Thaisa. The number 5 controlled the ball, Laysa sprinted forward and benefited from a deflection off the opposing defense to make it 1-0. After the goal, the team managed by Celso Silva went through some scares and Vitória came close to equalizing.

After the technical timeout, the team regained control and piled up missed chances with Laysq, Thaisa, Fernanda, and Layza Cavalcanti. Despite this, the score remained 1-0 until halftime. 

On the return leg, Flamengo dominated. In the 7th minute, in another good team move, Laysa broke into the area and found the back of the net: 2-0. The lead meant the match was completely under control, but the Flamengo women didn't abandon their style and continued to create good opportunities. In the 12th minute, Thaisa received the ball in the area and Lorrana made two miraculous saves. Then, Mariana crossed and Fernanda's shot grazed the post. 

In the final stretch, Nina Garrit – who made her professional debut – stirred things up. The striker took a long-range shot, forcing the opposing goalkeeper to make a great save. On the rebound, she headed the ball into the defender's hand, and the referee awarded a penalty. Fabi Simões converted with skill and celebrated wildly for scoring again in the Sacred Mantle: 3-0. Vitória pulled one back in the last minute through Sheilinha, but it wasn't enough to dampen the great victory for the red-and-black team on their home turf.

Flamengo returns to the field on Monday (4), to face São Paulo, at 21 pm, in Cotia.
