In the last round of the first phase of the Women's Cup, Flamengo beat Palmeiras 2-0 on Thursday afternoon (5), at the Conde Rodolfo Crespi stadium, and is classified for the quarterfinals of the competition. Mariana and Ana Papel scored for Mengão.

The game
Flamengo started the match threateningly. The opposing goalkeeper was out of position and missed, leaving the ball for Ingrid to shoot from outside the box, but the defender cleared it almost on the line. The Meninas da Gávea continued to press, this time from a corner kick. Barraca took a shot, and the goalkeeper saved. Kaylane Vieira couldn't score on the rebound. In the 12th minute, Barraca passed the ball to Ingrid, who beat her speed and was stopped by a foul by Duda, who was eventually sent off for being the last defender.

Five minutes later, the Red-Black team created a powerful triangle between Mariana, Ingrid, and Larissa; the first goal came, but the number 8 was in an offside position. In stoppage time, Mengão extended their lead. Ana Papel collected the rebound in the six-yard box and slotted it into the net. The match ended with a 2-0 victory for Flamengo.

With the victory, the Meninas da Gávea are qualified for the quarterfinals of the competition with the best campaign in the first phase and await their opponent.
