Flamengo's U-20 women's team heroically qualified with two consecutive late goals against São Paulo. They had lost the first match 1-0, but in the return match, they won by two goals. Pimenta and Ingrid contributed to the score. Now, the Gávea Girls will face Internacional in the semifinals of the Brazilian Women's Championship.

The game

On the Rubro-Negro's first attack, Gica took a shot, but the goalkeeper saved it. With the Meninas da Gávea on the attack, Cerqueira delivered a perfect corner kick to Núbia, who headed dangerously over the opposing goal.

Flamengo continued to push for a result. In the 33rd minute, Mariana made a good run down the left and set up Anna Luiza to finish. The defender cleared the ball off the line, sending it out for a corner, which Gica headed just wide of the crossbar. Late in the first half, Emilly drove down the right and took a shot from distance that went wide. The game ended in a goalless draw at halftime.

Right after the restart of the second half, the Meninas da Gávea started strong. Duda's shot fell to Gica at the penalty spot, but the striker finished right at her opponent.

In the next play, seven minutes in, Emilly made an excellent individual play on the right, bringing the ball into the middle and shooting from outside the box with a deflection. The ball went very close to the goal.

In the 20th minute, Gica fired a good shot, but the goalkeeper sent it out for a corner. Mariana headed the ball wide of the goal. Eleven minutes later, after another corner, Mariana again threatened from a set piece. This time, the ball went over the crossbar.

The Gávea Girls continued to push hard for their first goal, until Pimenta's star shined. Ingrid played a one-two with Gica, who passed to the number 19 to open the scoring: 1-0.

In the next play, with the red-blacks in the best moment of the game, Cerqueira took a free kick in the area and Ingrid, who provided the pass for the first goal, scored the one that qualified: 2-0 for Flamengo.

In stoppage time, in the 47th minute, Duda Rodrigues hit the crossbar with a free kick. In the final play of the game, Duda Rodrigues hit the crossbar again. With the result, Flamengo secured a spot in the Brasileirão U-20 semifinals.
