Flamengo beat Vitória-BA 3-0 and got off to a good start in the second leg of the Brazilian U-18 Women's Championship.

By Romulo Paranhos - inOn Sunday afternoon (11), Flamengo faced Vitória-BA at the Homero Soldatelli-RS Stadium, in a match valid for the 1st round of the second round of the Brazilian Women's Under-18 Championship. The Girls from Gávea won 3-0, with two goals from top scorer Maria Peck and one from Larissa Souza, after a free kick.
The game
Flamengo started the match trying to put pressure on Vitória, but the game was fiercely contested in midfield. It didn't take long for the Meninas da Gávea to open the scoring. In the 17th minute, Larissa Souza took a free kick in the middle of the field; the ball flew past everyone, flew over the goalkeeper, and found the back of the net: 1-0 for Flamengo. In the 45th minute, Mengão scored their second goal of the match. After a cross from the right, the Bahian team's goalkeeper rebounded the ball to the feet of top scorer Maria Peck, who simply had to tap it into the net, making it 2-0 for the "Mais Querido."
The second half began with the Meninas da Gávea (Girls from Gávea) dominating possession and the action. Flamengo doubled their lead in the 27th minute. Maria Peck unleashed a beautiful shot from the left side of the halfway line, hitting the top corner of Vitória's goalkeeper to score her second goal of the match and Mengão's third, sealing the victory.

In the next round of the Brazilian Under-18 Championship, the Meninas da Gávea will face Internacional-RS. The match will be held this Tuesday (13), at 16:45 pm, at the Homero Soldatelli-RS Stadium.
