Flamengo/Marinha debuts well and defeats Vitória at Barradão

Flamengo/Marinha made their winning debut in the Brazilian Women's Football Championship. Against Vitória, at Barradão, on Saturday afternoon (11), the Mais Querido came away with a positive result of 3-0. The goals were scored by Diany, Bárbara and Fernanda, all in the second half.

In the first half, Flamengo/Marinha started pressing and looking for an early goal, but they were met by Vitória's well-positioned defense. The two best chances of the first 45 minutes fell to the Mais Querido, but both were denied by goalkeeper Yasmin. With the game tight and evenly balanced, the score remained 0-0 at halftime.

Flamengo/Marinha quickly opened the scoring in the second half. In the 16th minute, Diany had the first chance and scored. Shortly after, it was Bárbara's turn to score, extending the lead. Controlling the clock, the Mais Querido (Most Beloved) closed the scoring with a goal from Fernanda.

With the result, Flamengo takes the provisional lead of Group 2. The next challenge is against São José on Sunday (19), at 10 am, in Gávea.
