On Wednesday night (12), Flamengo/Marinha took to the field for the seventh round of the Brazilian Women's Football Championship against Foz Cataratas/Coritiba. Despite the tight game in the first half, Mais Querido managed to score three times in the final stage and left with a 5-2 victory at the Los Larios stadium, in Duque de Caxias (RJ).

Playing well from the start, the first goal for the red-and-black team came from the feet of top scorer Pâmela. Receiving a great pass from Tânia Maranhão, the forward controlled it with her chest and shot, opening the scoring in Los Larios. Shortly after, it was Jane's turn to score, capitalizing on a rebound and scoring with a lob.

Before halftime, Foz Cataratas pushed for the result and equalized with goals from Thaynara and Vero, both from the penalty spot. The score was 2-2.

The second half was dominated by Flamengo/Marinha. In the opening minutes, the Mais Querido (the most beloved) team managed to win two penalties, both converted by Bárbara and Pâmela.

To close the score and the rout, Bárbara received a good pass from Raquelzinha in the 20th minute, putting the ball in the back of the net, making it 5-2 on the scoreboard and guaranteeing another victory for the Meninas da Gávea.

The result kept Flamengo in third place in Group 2, with 15 points, five wins and two losses at the end of the first round. With the victory, the Meninas da Gávea are three points behind the group leaders, Rio Preto. In the next round, Mais Querido faces Foz Cataratas again, at the Pedro Basso stadium, in Foz do Iguaçu, on Wednesday (19), at 15 pm.
