The Flamengo/Marinha women's team took to the field last Wednesday night (30.09) to play against Rio Preto/SP in the first round of the second phase of the 2015 Brazilian Championship. The red-black team returned to the field with a depleted squad, as nineteen of its main athletes traveled to the Republic of Korea to represent Brazil in the Military World Games. Despite their desire throughout the 90 minutes, the team was defeated by their opponent, who won 5-0.

Flamengo/Marinha's next match is Sunday (October 04.10th) at 15 p.m. against América/MG at the Gávea stadium. The nineteen athletes who traveled to represent Brazil at the Military World Games are expected to return in time to play the last two games of the second phase. The team debuts this Friday (October 02.10nd).
