Flamengo/Marinha qualifies for the second phase of the Brazilian Championship
The red-black team only needed a draw, but beat Duque de Caxias 3-0.

With an eye on qualifying for the Second Phase of the Brazilian Women's Championship, Flamengo/Marinha faced Duque de Caxias in the fifth and final round of qualifying with the advantage of playing for a draw - but it wasn't necessary. The girls from Gávea defeated their opponents 3-0, this Wednesday (17), at the Romário Faria Stadium. In addition to the spot, Mais Querido guaranteed participation in the draft, a selection system in which players from the Main Team are distributed among the eight classified teams.
In addition to Flamengo, Ferroviária, Rio Preto, and São José joined the already qualified Iranduba, Corinthians, Foz Cataratas, and São Francisco. The Mais Querido is in Group 4, alongside São Francisco.
Differentiated preparation
Before the match against Duque de Caxias, the Flamengo/Marinha team prepared and helped the Brazilian Women's National Team in their training for the Algarve Cup and the Rio 2016 Olympics, training at Granja Comary in Teresópolis. The training match ended 3-2 for the National Team.
