Away from home, Flamengo is defeated by São Paulo 3-0 in the Brasileirão Women's Championship

In the fourth round of the Brasileirão Feminino, Flamengo was defeated by São Paulo 3-0 on Wednesday night (28), at Arena Barueri-SP. In the next round, the Meninas da Gávea face Bahia, away from home.

The game
The Gávea Girls started the match by tightly marking the São Paulo team's possession. The red-and-black team tried to pass the ball out, but struggled to penetrate São Paulo's defense. With Flamengo creating few opportunities and a strong performance by goalkeeper Kaká, the first half ended all square: 0-0.

In the second half, São Paulo continued to dominate possession and pressure the Flamengo defense, which was well-positioned. This gave Flamengo more freedom to counterattack and threatened. In the 23rd minute, the Morumbi team opened the scoring through Duda: 1-0. In the 35th minute, São Paulo was awarded a penalty. Micaelly stepped up to take the second: 2-0. In the final minutes, the home team extended their lead, again through Duda, who sealed the final score: 3-0.  

Next appointment
The Girls from Gávea return to the field next Sunday (2) to face Bahia, at 18 pm, in Pituaçu-BA. The game is valid for the fifth round of the Brazilian Women's Championship.
