This Wednesday morning (10) was a time of reintroduction for the women's soccer team. At Mengão's social headquarters, the Meninas da Gávea had a meeting with the technical committee and the board in the auditorium, where they heard about the objectives for the year, and then visited the Museum.

Barbieri, Djeni, Glaucia, Naná, and Sorriso, recently announced, were present at the venue and joined the squad. The remaining players are goalkeepers Isa Cruz and Karol Alves, full-backs Diovanna, Gisseli, Jucinara, and Monalisa, defenders Daiane, Núbia, and Thais Regina, defensive midfielders Kaylane and Thaisa, midfielders Darlene, Duda, and Louvain, and forwards Crivelari, Gica, Isadora, Pimenta, and Laysa. Copinha champions Ana Laura and Mariana also showed up.

Now, the athletes begin physical exams and tests before heading to Pinheiral, in the south of Rio de Janeiro state, which will take place between the 15th and 25th of this month. This is all part of the planning for the sequence of competitions, starting with the Copa Rio and the Supercopa.

"We made a plan and realized that the first semester is very busy, so we consider a period of immersive training essential. We'll maximize the time and give the athletes physical support during these ten days. We're also looking for more team building, as we've had some arrivals, and competitions begin in February. And, of course, there's the tactical aspect. This preparation is crucial for us, and we see Pinheiral as crucial," analyzed coach Maurício Salgado.
