Away victory! This Saturday (29), Flamengo/Marinha went to the PUC-RS University Stadium and defeated Internacional 2-0 in the return of the Brazilian Women's Football Championship. In front of a full house, the Meninas da Gávea performed well, dominating the match and getting back on track. Gaby scored both goals for the red-blacks, one in each half of the match.

With this result, Flamengo now has 23 points from ten games, with seven wins, two draws, and one loss. So far, they've scored 30 goals and conceded four.

The game

Pressing from the start, Flamengo faced little threat from Internacional throughout the 90 minutes. On the other hand, the attack pushed forward and dominated possession, producing good shots. In the 20th minute, Larissa delivered a beautiful pass to Gaby in the box. Alert, the number 7 received the ball with a header and put the ball in the back of the net.

The intense pace continued into the second half. Coming forward and always staying in their own half, the Mais Querido had excellent chances to extend their lead, but were denied by goalkeeper Yasmin. However, in the 48th minute, Gaby received the ball at the edge of the box, shot powerfully, and scored the second goal of the afternoon.

Rubro-Negro returns to the field in two weeks, when they host Minas Icesp in Gávea, on July 13th (Saturday), at 3 pm. The duel is valid for the Brasileirão.
