Still competing in the Brasil Ladies Cup in Santana de Parnaíba, São Paulo, Flamengo is already hard at work on its 2022 plans, and the first new addition is Gisseli. The left-back, who played for Grêmio for the past three years, has signed a contract and will report to the club in January for preseason training. 

Gisseli is 20 years old and has been called up to the Brazilian national team several times. She has played in several U-20 tournaments and even competed in the U-17 South American Championship, where she won the championship, and the U-17 World Cup. A native of Tocantins, she began her career at JV Lideral and had a great time at Chapecoense. Known for her ability to tackle and recover balls, she also easily gets forward and scores goals. Skilled and fast, she is considered a great prospect in Brazilian football and now wants to make her name with the Red-Blacks.

"I'm so happy to know I'll be wearing the Sacred Mantle, and I have the best expectations possible. I want to be able to help the team in some way, do my job with great dedication, and win many titles for Flamengo. The goal is to build a beautiful history with the club," he commented.
