Mengão was overwhelming this Saturday (17), in Gávea, in the fourth round of the Women's Carioca Championship. The Girls from Gávea beat Rio São Paulo 34-0 and applied the biggest rout in the competition, easily beating their opponents. With the rout, Mengão took the lead in the state tournament.

First time

In the opening seconds of the match, Flamengo launched its first dangerous attack with our number 99, Sole Jaimes. Just two minutes into the match, Cris opened the scoring on a left-back pass from Jucinara. This was our midfielder's first goal in the Campeonato Carioca. Five minutes in, another Jucinara cross resulted in Duda scoring a dangerous shot. On the next play, Cris scored another for Flamengo, this time with an assist from our center forward, Sole Jaimes.

And before the hour mark, our captain, Duda, scored Flamengo's third. After a cross into the box, the opposing defender played it into her own net, and the goalkeeper made the save, but it fell to our star player. And just two minutes later, from another cross by Jucinara, Sole Jaimes scored Flamengo's fourth goal. On a miscued Rio-São Paulo exit, Duda provided a sweet pass for Sole to score Flamengo's fifth and her second of the match.

In another devastating Mengão attack, Duda Rodrigues delivered a perfect cross for Leidiane to score the team's sixth goal of the match. With further pressure in the opponent's attacking half, Cris scored the seventh goal for Flamengo and her hat trick. In the 24th minute of the first half, after an individual play, Cris attempted a shot from outside the box, the goalkeeper rebounded, and Duda was well positioned to score Flamengo's eighth goal. Mengão gave Rio São Paulo no time to breathe, and just a minute later, Leidiane scored her second goal of the match and Flamengo's ninth.

After a scramble in the box, Monalisa dribbled beautifully, finishing from outside the box, and scoring the tenth goal for Mais Querido. Sole took advantage of the goalkeeper's poor clearance and scored her eleventh goal of the match and her third. The ball crossed the box a few times, but our top scorer, Soles, made sure of another cross from Jucinara and scored Flamengo's twelfth goal. In the 41st minute of the first half, without letting up in intensity and in another well-worked play, Mengão scored their thirteenth goal of the match with Sole Jaimes' perfect header. In the following play, Leidiane extended the lead even further with a shot into the corner of the Rio São Paulo goalkeeper's goal.

A fierce play by Sole Jaimes, he put the ball back and Cris scored the fifteenth. As the ball came out, Mengão pressed, stole the ball, and scored another through Jucinara.

Second time

With some changes at halftime, Gisseli, who replaced Monalisa, made the first play of the second half in a sprint and crossed for Sole to score another, his seventeenth of the match. And shortly thereafter, just a minute into the second half, Soles scored another after a ball lifted by Stella. Before the five-minute mark, the Meninas da Gávea took advantage of Rio São Paulo's poor exit and scored another goal through Kika Brandino. Don't miss the count! Flamengo reached its twentieth goal with Duda's beautiful shot from outside the box.

The girls didn't give their opponents time to breathe, and from the ball recovered after the restart, Pimenta scored hers of the match and the Gávea team's twenty-first. Eight minutes into the second half, from another ball lifted into the box, Stella scored another for the Rubro-Negro. Duda, our number 10, finished with style and scored the twenty-third goal. Another one! To add to the tally, the Gávea Girls' twenty-fourth goal came from Pimenta's feet. After a blunder by the Rio São Paulo defense, Sole scored another goal of the match, her eighth goal of the game.

26! The Gávea Girls' twenty-sixth goal came as the team pressed forward. A stolen ball resulted in Pimenta finishing with style. Another goal arrived! The twenty-seventh! In the 25th minute of the second half, Sole scored for the Mais Querido, further extending the lead. In a matter of seconds, Mengão scored twice, the first through Giselli and the other through Pimenta, who made it twenty-ninth. It wasn't long before the thirtieth came, to the delight of the nation, with Stella scoring the goal. The Gávea Girls didn't let up, and Pimenta scored the thirty-first.

The Most Beloved didn't let up for a minute! In another back-and-forth in the Rio São Paulo penalty area, the ball fell to Duda Rodrigues to score the thirty-second goal of the match. In the final moments of the match, Rayanne scored the twenty-third. Then, Sole sealed the rout with her tenth goal of the match, making Mengão's thirty-four goals to Rio São Paulo's zero.
