Ju Ferreira reaches 100 games for Flamengo: “I can only thank you for everything”
The midfielder reached the milestone in the 2-0 victory over Vasco, scoring a stunning goal and having his family present.

The match against Vasco in the Copa Rio was extra special for a longtime friend of the Red-Black Nation. Her name is on the tip of everyone's tongue in women's soccer: Juliana Ferreira.
The 2-0 victory featured the refined touch of an athlete with Flamengo in her DNA. Scorer of the stunning goal that opened the scoring, Ju Ferreira completed 100 appearances for the Sacred Mantle alongside her mother Joana, uncle Roberto Carlos, and cousin Lucas. It's worth remembering, of course, that this is her second stint with the club.
"Look, when I stop and think, I can only be grateful for everything. Having my family watching me makes everything even more fantastic; I was quite emotional. Scoring my first goal on my return in a derby, on the day I played 100 games, leaves me speechless. I'm happy, fulfilled, and very excited for what lies ahead. When I chose to return, I was certain I would experience moments like this," she emphasized.
The only Brazilian champion in the current squad in 2016, the midfielder dreams of repeating the feat. Possessing a winning mentality, she understands the need to give everything on the field for the goals.
"It's priceless to get up there on the podium, look back on the entire journey, and see that it was worth it. This title impacted me because our group worked hard, believed it was possible, and then everything got better. And, on top of everything, being Brazilian champion with Flamengo is surreal. I say this to the girls—especially because I see so much potential in the squad. I'm sure that together, we can achieve great things, but we'll have to pay the price," she explained.
When asked about her most beautiful goal, including those from her first spell, Ju didn't hesitate and chose her most recent. In the number 28's view, this is the starting point for a beautiful story.
"It couldn't be any different. My mom was there watching, so how could I not choose this one? I was away from home for a few years, I recently returned, and I want to enjoy every second of it. The goal symbolizes my return. And 100 games are 100 games. It's a huge privilege, a true honor. And I want to continue writing new chapters here," he concluded.
