The Brazilian National Team's call-up to the U-19 Development League was a significant milestone for Flamengo's youth development program. In addition to Kaylaine Jr., a midfielder for the professional team, the club also included another athlete on the roster: 14-year-old Kaylane Vieira, a member of the U-17 squad, sponsored by Vale through the Federal Sports Incentive Law.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Kaylane took her first steps in soccer at the Estrela da Primavera social project, located in Praça do Sabará, in Duque de Caxias. Skilled and possessing a powerful shot, the midfielder was part of the team that competed in the U-14 Club Development League in the first half of the year. At the time, Mais Querido participated in the tournament with a selection of girls from projects, and she scored the winning goal in a thrilling 1-0 victory over Internacional.

In the current season, previously, the athlete was called up twice to the Brazilian U-17 team. There were two periods of preparation aiming at the South American that will only be played in 2024. Now, in the U-19, she is the youngest of the group and is in a training routine at Granja Comary. The team will travel to Uruguay this Friday (15) and will make its debut on Monday (18), against Venezuela, in the city of Colonia.

"I'm very happy and honored to have the opportunity to experience this with the Brazilian National Team at such a young age. I know this is the result of my hard work, and I need to stay focused to improve even further. Flamengo is going through a great moment in women's soccer, and this has been possible thanks to the investment made directly in us athletes. We have to make the most of it," said Kaylane.

It is important to highlight that Vale's sponsorship of Flamengo's women's youth soccer program specifically targets young people involved in social projects and is based on investment in training kits, initiatives, and visits by partner organizations to the institution.
