Larissa scores a hat trick as Flamengo/Marinha beat Foz Cataratas/Athletico at home
The girls from Gávea played a good game and beat the team from Paraná in the Brasileirão
By Mariana Sa - inFlamengo/Marinha's performance at the Gávea stadium remains almost impeccable. This Thursday (18), the red-blacks hosted Foz Cataratas/Athletico-PR and won 5-0. In addition to Larissa's hat-trick, Daiana also scored and Iza, against, completed the score.
With the result, Fla reaches 29 points, remaining in fourth place with nine wins, two draws and one loss. On Sunday (21), at 14 pm, Mengo goes to Pacaembu to face Corinthians in a direct duel for the top positions. The match will be broadcast by Band.
The game
The first half was intense from the very first play. Right from the start, Ju found Larissa well-positioned, she advanced and unleashed a beautiful lob, opening the scoring. Pressing, the Mais Querido (Team of the Match) had more opportunities and extended their lead in the 20th minute, when the captain made a brilliant dribble past the goalkeeper and sent a spectacular volley into the back of the net.
Seven minutes later, it was Daiana's turn to rise unmarked after a free kick from Larissa to score another goal for the red-and-blacks, her second in the Brasileirão. Towards the end of the first half, Iza attempted to clear a pass from Rafaela and ended up scoring an own goal, making the score 4-0.
The final period was more evenly balanced. Despite not suffering many attacks from their opponents, Foz's defense began to close in, saving Flamengo's strong attempts. With excellent chances, Ricardo Abrantes' team almost extended their lead, but it wasn't until the 40th minute that Larissa once again advanced alone, breaking free, and scoring her third goal of the match and Mengão's fifth.
