Coach Luis Andrade's time at Flamengo started off on the right foot. On Sunday night (12), the Meninas da Gáve had a great performance and beat River Plate 2-0, in a game held at the Santana de Parnaíba Municipal Stadium. Darlene and Dani Ortolan scored the team's goals, which took the lead in group A of the Brasil Ladies Cup with three points.

At the hotel this morning, Luis was very pleased with the group's collective performance and stressed that if the team maintains the same pace, the results will come.

"It was a positive debut, and the athletes performed very well. They did everything we worked on during the week and put it into practice excellently. If we continue like this, we'll definitely achieve more victories," he declared.

The coach projected the match against Palmeiras, valid for the second round of the competition, scheduled for Wednesday (14), at 18 pm, with broadcast on SporTV. It is worth remembering that the confrontation can be decisive for the Rubro-Negro's ambitions in the tournament.

"After this victory, expectations are quite high. We know Palmeiras is a great, well-trained team, but we'll do our job. We have to play another good game, represent the club and our entire nation well. We can only think about getting three points," he concluded.
