Maurício Salgado is Flamengo's new women's soccer coach
Coach signed contract with the club until the end of 2024

Maurício Salgado, who was previously at Internacional and signed a contract with the club until December 2024, will lead the team for the first time tomorrow in Gávea, in a friendly against Colo-Colo of Chile.
A native of São Paulo, the coach has been with the Rio Grande do Sul club since 2018, where he reached the 2022 Brazilian Championship final and won state titles. Previously, he worked for Corinthians, São Bernardo, São Caetano, Vitória de Santo Antão-PE, and Audax-SP. Salgado also coached the Brazilian university team for 14 years, participating in several world competitions. Now at Mengão, Maurício hopes to do a great job and win titles.
"It's a huge challenge, right? And expectations are as high as possible. I know the importance of working at a big club like Flamengo. I'm highly motivated to achieve great things. Everyone knows the quality of the group and the excellent structure. Upon arrival, I met some of the players again and met some new ones. I presented our ambitions and made it clear that I have great confidence in their work. We'll do everything we can to put Flamengo at the top," he said in an interview with the official website.
