On vacation, Kosovare Asllani used her days off to support Flamengo. The striker, who played last season for Real Madrid and has played for Chicago Red Stars-USA, PSG and Manchester City, attended a training session at CEFAN and was present at last Saturday's match (11), against Corinthians, in Gávea.
A longtime friend of midfielder Thaisa, with whom she played at Real Madrid, Asllani received a Sacred Mantle from André Rocha, Mengão's women's soccer coordinator, and Vitor Zanelli, vice president of the department. With a consolidated and important career, the Swede, who won silver medals at the Rio (2016) and Tokyo (2020) Olympics, expressed her gratitude for the gift.
"I had an incredible experience in Rio de Janeiro, and it was great to be able to watch Flamengo play with my friend Thaisa on the field. I was welcomed very warmly and respectfully, and I wanted to thank you. I hope to see everyone again soon," she said in a video.
