In the duel that marked the return of the Brasileirão Feminino Sub-20 after the break for the national team's call-up, Flamengo beat Fluminense 1-0, on Thursday afternoon (3), in Gávea. The red-black goal, scored by striker Brendha, consolidated the team as leader of the group.

The game

At home, the Mais Querido imposed its attacking rhythm from the opening minutes, and chances soon followed. In the 8th minute, Anna Luiza sent a dangerous cross into the box, but the goalkeeper saved. In the next play, Nicoli was blocked at the edge of the box after a good play by Emilly. The pressure paid off, and Mengão opened the scoring in the 17th minute with Brendha: the number nine received the ball from Anna Luiza and fired a cross.

The goal allowed the team to manage their lead and completely control the match. With Cerqueira and Nicoli dominating the midfield, the Red-Blacks had another good chance through Brendha, but the opposing goalkeeper performed a miracle, and the score remained at 1-0.

In the second half, Flamengo again took the initiative and narrowly missed extending their lead thanks to a good header from Carol Martins and a fine individual play from Emilly. In the 31st minute, Cerqueira sent in a perfect cross, but Carol Martins couldn't connect. In the final stretch, Filipe Torres made some changes, but the same level of play remained, and the Meninas da Gávea emerged victorious and assured of the lead in Group A.
