Last Saturday (6), Flamengo played very well and beat Bangu 4-0 in a match valid for the first round of the U-17 Women's State Championship. The goals were scored by Ingrid, Laís, Lays do Carmo and Kaylane Vieira. With the result, the red-black team took the provisional lead in the Guanabara Cup of the competition alongside three other clubs.

The game

Despite the nerves surrounding the debut, the Mais Querido never gave their opponents any space. Superior from the start, the team quickly opened the scoring: Jufo made a great play, was brought down, and the referee awarded a penalty. Ingrid Santos took the penalty with great skill, giving the goalkeeper no chance. With this advantage, the Meninas da Gávea didn't rest on their laurels and extended their lead in style in the 38th minute. Ingrid beat the run and passed to Laís, who caught it first time and slotted the ball into the top corner: 2-0.

In the second half, Sergio Carnevale made some changes, but the pace didn't drop, and the concentration level remained very high. In just six minutes, Ingrid shone again, making a great play down the right flank, and Lays do Carmo simply finished it off to make it 3-0. In the 27th minute, Larissa burst into the box and provided a great assist for Kaylane Vieira. The recently signed number 17 struck powerfully and sealed the rout: 4-0.
