Mengão thrashes Mixto 4-1 and secures its fifth consecutive victory in the U-20 Women's Brasileirão
Rubro-Negro wins without any scares on an inspired afternoon from defender Sofia and guarantees a place in the next phase

In the intense heat at Dutrinha Stadium, Flamengo thrashed Mixto-MT 4-1 on Thursday afternoon (17), adding three more points in the Brazilian Women's Under-20 Championship and securing qualification for the second phase of the competition. The goals were scored by Sofia (2), Jamile and Alice.
The game
The Meninas da Gávea opened the match with a strong push and created good chances through Kaylane Vieira. In the 10th minute, the attacking midfielder took a perfect free kick, and Sofia headed it in powerfully: 1-0. The goal kept the team in the attacking half, and the second was not long in coming. Five minutes later, Cecília delivered a beautiful pass, and Jamile fired a low shot. After the technical timeout, the intensity dropped slightly, and the match became a tight affair. In stoppage time, the referee awarded a penalty to Mixto, and Duda Capixaba reduced the score to 2-1.
In the second half, Filipe Torres made some changes, but the scenario was largely the same as the first, with wide dominance and good chances. The standout performer was right-back Isa Kotait, who never missed a challenge and took the lead several times. On one of these attempts, Letícia Pinho took a long-range shot, which the defense cleared, and Alice made sure to make it 3-1.
The final stretch served to manage the result, however, without losing the essence. In the 41st minute, Dudinha lifted the ball, Carol Martins set it up, and the goalscoring defender Sofia—another great performer—declared the 4-1 rout. The result mathematically guaranteed the team's qualification.
