By Rafael Rezende - inIt's time for the final challenge of the season for the Gávea Girls! On Monday afternoon (7), in Araraquara, Flamengo held its final activity before its debut in the Brasil Ladies Cup, tomorrow, against Universidad do Chile, at 15:30 pm, at Fonte Luminosa. The match, valid for the first round of the tournament, will be broadcast live on SporTV.
Rubro-Negro is in Group A and, in addition to the Chilean team, will face Ferroviária and São Paulo. The format is the same as last year: eight teams are divided into two groups, where they play each other and the best of each advances to the final, which will be played in a single game on Tuesday (15), at 14 pm. In a quick interview with the official website, striker Maria Alves stressed that the main goal is to leave everything on the field to lift the trophy.
- We know it's a short-term championship, and this year we have some new additions, including clubs from other countries. This raises the bar and strengthens the competition. We're very focused; after all, we came here to give our best and fight until the end for this title. Our first goal is to win our debut and then climb one step at a time," said the number 9.
