For the second year in a row, Flamengo is in the grand final of the Carioca Feminino Sub-20! On Sunday morning (21), in Gávea, the team led by Filipe Torres beat Vasco 2-1 (5-1 on aggregate), with goals from Alice and Isabela Nunes, and sealed their spot.

The game

Just like in the first leg, Flamengo started creating good opportunities. In the 3rd minute, Isabela Nunes crossed and Nicoli headed over. In the 8th minute, Bruna struck first time and narrowly missed opening the scoring.

The dominance was crowned with a goal in the 17th minute. Nicoli dispossessed the opponent and delivered a beautiful pass to Alice, who burst into the box and slotted the ball past the goalkeeper. In the next play, Vasco equalized on a set piece, but Filipe Torres' team maintained their momentum and took the lead again in the 24th minute. In a set play, Sofia rolled the ball and Isabela Nunes found the top corner: 2-1. Before halftime, Kaylane Vieira hit the crossbar, and the score remained that way.

In the second half, the match was tight in the opening minutes. In the 19th minute, Dudinha lined up, and Nina Garrit took a shot wide. Nina then had another opportunity and shot over the bar. In the 24th minute, Kaylane Vieira shot from distance, but the goalkeeper made a great save. After the final timeout, the Meninas da Gávea simply managed the result and waited for the final whistle to celebrate another trip to the final of the competition.

Next appointment

Mengão returns to the field next week, with no date yet set, to face Fluminense in the final.
