Gávea girls advance to the next stage of the Brazilian Under-18 Women's Championship
In a classic played in Sorocaba, Fla loses to Fluminense 2-0, but guarantees a place in the second phase of the championship

In the last round of Group A of the Brazilian Women's Under-18 Championship, Flamengo lost to Fluminense 2-0 on Friday morning (16), at CT do Sorocaba, in São Paulo. Even with the defeat, the Meninas da Gávea secured a place in the next phase of the competition.
The game
The first half began with both teams closely studying each other. The Meninas da Gávea spent more time in possession in the attacking half, trying to find space in Fluminense's defense. In the 21st minute, Naely lifted a ball into the box, and Duda Rodrigues narrowly avoided heading it in.
In the 24th minute, Duda Rodrigues appeared well in attack and took a shot from outside the box. The Tricolor goalkeeper, well positioned, made the save. With a very tight game in midfield and few chances created in attack, the first half ended goalless.
At the start of the second half, Fluminense opened the scoring with Luany: 1-0. Six minutes later, the tricolor team extended the lead with Nubia: 2-0. As the match progressed, the red-black team reorganized itself and began to attack more to try to reduce the deficit.
Despite their efforts, the Meninas da Gávea left the field with the defeat, but with their qualification for the second phase of the championship, which will take place in August, guaranteed.
