After a 1-1 draw against Santos on Monday (11), the Meninas da Gávea advanced in the Women's Cup. It is worth remembering that Mengão had already beaten Grêmio and Botafogo-PB, having the advantage of the draw in the last game of the group stage. With the classification, Flamengo faces São Paulo in the semifinal of the tournament.

The game
Early in the match, in the 11th minute, Kaylane stole the ball and passed it to Louvain, who shot from outside the box. The ball sailed over the goal. Ana Laura then made a good run down the right and crossed for Laysa, who shot against the crossbar.

The game was lacking many chances for either side. Until the 34th minute, Mariana picked up the ball on the left and shot, but the goalkeeper saved it. The Girls controlled the result until Mariana led a counterattack in the 44th minute, but the ball went wide. In stoppage time, Santos tied the match with Ana Barboza's effort. The match ended 1-1, and Mengão qualified for the semifinals.
