The girls from Gávea close the first phase of the Brasileirão Feminina with a positive result

The group stage of the Brazilian Women's A-1 Football Championship has come to an end, but the excitement is just beginning. On September 11th, eight teams will begin the quarterfinals of the competition, aiming for only one thing: the national title. For Flamengo/Marinha, it will be the continuation of their relentless pursuit of a second title.
During the first half of the Brasileirão, the Meninas da Gávea had a solid campaign with good results, qualifying with three rounds to spare. They earned 27 points in 14 games, with eight wins, three draws, and three losses. The red-and-blacks scored 33 goals and conceded 17.
Dany Helena is Flamengo's and the competition's top scorer, with 13 goals. Next is captain Bárbara with seven goals, followed by Flávia with three. Ju and Larissa each scored twice, along with Pâmela, Karen, Rafaela, Carol, Nathane, and Fernanda, who each scored once.
Playing at Gávea, the Mais Querido was not defeated once. With victories against Ponte Preta (1-0), Vitória-PE (4-2), Portuguesa (6-0), Audax (1-0), Foz Cataratas (2-0) and Santos (4-0), in addition to the draw against Rio Preto (1-1), the red-black team added 19 of the 21 points played in its domains.
Outside Rio de Janeiro, there were two victories (Portuguesa, 6-0; and Vitória, 4-1), three defeats (Santos, 6-0; Rio Preto, 3-1; and Ponte Preta, 2-1) and two draws (Foz Cataratas, 0-0; and Audax, 2-2).
In the Brazilian Championship, there were 12 yellow cards, the fewest among all teams in the first phase, and two red cards (Stefane against Santos and Beatriz against Rio Preto). Bia was the player with the most yellow cards, receiving four. Ju, Renata, Patrícia, Daiana, Andressa, Kaká, Pâmela, and Flávia each received one.
Flamengo's next challenge is already set. On Wednesday, September 12th, the red-and-blacks will travel to Santa Catarina to face Kindermann at Carlos Alberto Costa Neves Stadium in Caçador. The match will begin at 15 p.m.
