Flamengo held its last training session in Pinheiral this Sunday morning (22), concluding the second part of the pre-season. After a full week, with activities in two periods, the red-black technical committee led a collective on field 1 of CT João Havelange. Now, the squad returns to Rio de Janeiro and will return next Tuesday (24), at CEFAN, to continue the work.

The date of the Super Cup quarterfinal match against Ceará has not yet been determined, but it is expected to take place between February 4th and 6th. The Mais Querido is the home team and, if they win, will face Avaí Kindermann or Real Brasília, also at home.

In this context, with the competition approaching, the trip to the south of Rio de Janeiro State was very beneficial for the Meninas da Gávea. Focused on the training site, the athletes took advantage of the content (tactical, technical, and multidisciplinary) and improved significantly throughout the week in all aspects. In a quick interview, defender Daiane celebrated their preparation and outlined the path forward.

"It was a special week, different from our usual routine. We were very happy here in Pinheiral and came out of this phase with clear physical improvement. We need to adjust a few things in the next training sessions to be ready for the match against Ceará, our first official match of 2023," said the number 3.
