The Girls from Gávea went to Macaé, this Monday (2), to face Serra Macaense, in the 2nd round of the Women's Carioca Championship. The red-blacks won the match 8-1 and moved up two positions in the table, finishing in second place in the competition.

The game
Flamengo started the game strong. In the 6th minute, Jucinara crossed from the left, and Thaisa nearly got to the ball to open the scoring for Mengão. After a corner, Jucinara crossed again, the ball rebounded off the opposing defender and fell to forward Isadora, who opened the scoring for the Meninas da Gávea: 1-0.

Soon after, Gisseli hit the corner for the second goal for the red-and-black team. In the 21st minute, Serra Macaense reduced the deficit. Shortly after, Thais delivered a beautiful pass to Monalisa, who shot, but the goalkeeper saved.

In the 30th minute, Jucinara, who was having an inspired day, shot from the middle of the street and scored Mengão's third goal. Shortly after, the number 81 tried her luck from distance, but the goalkeeper saved the ball.

After a beautiful play by Duda, the number 10 crossed into the box for Kaylane to head, but the goalkeeper saved. Soon after, Jucinara shot from outside the box, scoring her second goal and Mengão's fourth of the match.

Early in the second half, Jucinara provided another assist, crossing for Duda to head in for the fifth goal for the Mais Querido. The game was lukewarm until, in the 20th minute, Darlene passed the ball to Pimenta, who headed it to Duda, who scored the sixth goal for the red-and-blacks.

On the right, Cida delivered a beautiful pass to Darlene, who passed it to Pimenta to score the seventh. After a corner kick in the 44th minute, Cida received a beautiful cross but headed wide. In the final play of the game, Pimenta scored the eighth goal to seal the victory: 8-1.
