In the season debut, Mengão thrashes Ceará 10-0 and advances to the Women's Super Cup semifinals

On Sunday morning (5), the 2023 season of the Meninas da Gávea kicked off. Under the strong sun that hung over the Luso Brasileiro Stadium, on Ilha do Governador, Flamengo beat Ceará 10-0 and advanced to the semifinals of the Women's Super Cup. Duda (2x), Sole Jaimes, Crivelari (3x), Maira Alves, Thaisa, Gica and Jucinara scored the red-black goals in the match. With the result, Flamengo faces Real Brasília, this week, in search of a place in the tournament's final.
The game
Flamengo started the match by taking the offensive initiative. Fifteen seconds in, the girls arrived for the first time, and, following a corner kick, headed dangerously. It didn't take long for Mengão to open the scoring. Monalisa crossed from the right to Sole Jaimes' head, and the striker made no mistake: 1-0 Flamengo.
Next, it was Jucinara's turn to reach the byline from the left and cross into the box. Crivelari took advantage and headed the ball into the back of the net: 2-0 Flamengo.
The girls didn't slow down. Sole Jaimes had the ball on the left, found Duda more centrally, the number 10 passed to Maria Alves on the edge of the box on the right, and she hit it first time into the back of the net: 3-0 Flamengo.
Duda had already provided an assist, but he went in search of a goal: the number 10 received the ball outside the box, made a superb pass, and the ball went into the corner. A beautiful result: 4-0 Flamengo. Soon after, Duda received the ball outside the box again, controlled it, and shot into the corner again! It felt like a replay: 5-0 Flamengo.
With a large advantage for Mais Querido, the game went to half-time.
In the second half, Kaylaine Jr stole the ball in midfield and served Crivelari, who dribbled past the goalkeeper and scored her second goal of the match: 6-0 Flamengo. Shortly after, Rayanne crossed from the right, the ball crossed the area and fell to Thaisa, who shot with a ready shot to score a beautiful goal for Luso Brasileiro: 7-0 Flamengo.
And there was a hat trick! Duda made a beautiful pass and Crivelari had all the composure in the world to complete his hat trick: 8-0 Flamengo.
Gica scored the ninth from the penalty spot. The Flamengo striker fired the ball into the corner, giving the opposing goalkeeper no chance. In the final play of the match, Jucianara put Flamengo in double-digit territory: 10-0, and qualification in the bag! On to the semifinals!
