In the debut of the Campeonato Carioca Sub-18 Feminino, Flamengo drew with Fluminense 1-1 on Wednesday morning (17), in Gávea. The Rubro-Negro's goal was scored by Duda, who came on during the second half. As everything ended equal, the classic went to penalties and Mais Querido came out on top, winning 5-4. With the result, the Meninas da Gávea added their first two points in the competition.

The game
In the opening half, Flamengo dominated the match, with more possession and frequent attacking efforts. Despite the greater volume of play, few clear-cut chances were created. The best of these came in the 34th minute. Naely took a corner kick into the box, and Núbia rose to the third floor. The ball went just wide of the crossbar. The derby ended in a draw at halftime.

In the second half, the game remained very close. In the fourth minute, Luíza Travassos opened the scoring for Fluminense, following a rebound from goalkeeper Tainá: 1-0. It didn't take long for Mengão to level the score! Naely delivered a beautiful pass to Mari Fernandes on the right side of the box, who rolled the ball to Duda, who simply slotted it into the back of the net: 1-1.

In the final minutes, the Meninas da Gávea pressed the Tricolor team in search of a comeback, but the match ended in a draw. According to the State Championship regulations, the derby went to penalties. Mengão prevailed, winning 5-4, securing another extra point. Pimenta, Núbia, Letícia, Kaylane Júnior, and Duda converted the penalties for the Rubro-Negro.

Next appointment
The Meninas da Gávea return to the field next Saturday (20) to face Serra Macaense, at 15 pm, at CEFAN. The game is valid for the second round of the Carioca Sub-18.
