In Gávea, Flamengo and São José draw 2-2 in the Brazilian Women's Championship

In the sixth round of the Brasileirão Women's Championship, Flamengo drew with São José-SP 2-2 on Sunday afternoon (9), in Gávea. The two goals of the Most Beloved were scored by Rafa Barros.

The game
The first half started fairly evenly, and Mengão opened the scoring after just six minutes. After a defensive error by São José, Rafa Barros pounced on the rebound and tapped it into the back of the net: 1-0. After the goal, the red-and-black team continued to attack to extend their lead. In the 11th minute, Flávia won the challenge and passed to Ana Carla, who took a shot from outside the box, but the goalkeeper made a good save.

In the 15th minute, Flamengo almost scored its second goal. Kaylane attempted a long-range shot, forcing the goalkeeper to make a great save. São José equalized in the 21st minute with Fernanda Tipa's penalty: 1-1. In the 38th minute, Flamengo took the lead again! After a cross from the right, Rafa Barros controlled the ball inside the box and slotted it into the corner to score his second goal of the game: 2-1.

Four minutes later, São José equalized once again with Letícia, with a header, after a free kick: 2-2. The teams went into the break with the draw,

Early in the second half, Ana Carla worked with Bruna Rosa, who took a shot from the edge of the box. The ball sailed past the goalkeeper's right post. Ten minutes in, Dani Ortolan burst into the box and chipped the ball past the goalkeeper, who managed to make a save.

The Meninas da Gávea tried to pass the ball from foot to foot, but they were lacking in their final pass. In the 30th minute, Sorriso unleashed a powerful shot from midfield, and the ball went to the right of the goalkeeper. The red-and-black team searched for the winning goal until the end, but the match ended in a draw.

Next appointment
The Meninas da Gávea return to the field next Thursday (13) to face Santos, at 17 pm, at the Luso-Brasileiro Stadium, for the seventh round of the Brazilian Championship.
