In the tenth round of the Brasileirão Feminino, Flamengo beat Grêmio 2-0 on Sunday morning (29), at the Gávea stadium. The goals for the Mais Querido were scored by Maria Alves and Leidiane. With the result, the Meninas da Gávea totaled 15 points and rose to sixth place in the league table.

The game
The Gávea Girls started the match looking to attack and, just six minutes in, they opened the scoring! Maria Alves received the ball wide on the right edge of the box and fired a cross-shot to score the first goal of the game: 1-0.

Mengão's start to the match was devastating. In the 15th minute, Maria Alves came down the right and sent a low cross into the box for Leidiane to tap in, extending the lead at Gávea to 2-0. In the 40th minute, Duda dribbled past and delivered a great pass to Leidiane, who was blocked just as she was about to shoot.

In stoppage time, the referee awarded a penalty to Grêmio. Dani Ortolan stepped up to take the penalty and sent it wide. Mengão went into halftime with the lead.

In the second half, Grêmio went more on the attack, but the Meninas da Gávea showed confidence in defense and managed to neutralize the plays of the Gaucho team.

In the 14th minute, Monalisa took a venomous free kick; the Grêmio goalkeeper stretched and put it out for a corner. Duda then made a firm catch from the edge of the box, the ball hitting the post and going back behind the goalkeeper, out for a corner kick.

In the 20th minute, Monalisa fouled the Grêmio player and was sent off, leaving the red-and-black team with ten men. Despite being outnumbered, the Meninas da Gávea managed the result well and left the field with a crucial victory.
